What is Income Based JSA?

Income-Based Jobseekers Allowance is paid to everyone who is unemployed and looking for work, if they have not made National Insurance contributions recently.

You cannot usually claim income-based JSA if you or your partner have savings over £16,000, or if you are receiving a regular income (such as a pension) that is more than the standard rate.
