New HMRC Taskforces
HMRC have today announced today new taskforces aimed at certain industries in the UK. It is expected to retrieve up to 20 million pounds in unpaid tax. HMRC have reportedly recovered over 50 million pounds since new taskforces have been launched in 2011/2012.
The industries that are being targeted include:-
- Grocery and retail in South and North Wales, the North West and the South West
- The motor trade in Scotland
- Hair and beauty in the North East
- The legal profession in London
